Woman Gets Death in Husband's Murder
Thursday December 23, 2004
After deliberating since Dec. 1 in the penalty phase of her trial, an Arizona jury recommended the death sentence for Wendi Andriano for the murder conviction of poisoning and stabbing her terminally ill husband to death. Andriano, who testified for nine days in her own defense, claimed she was abused by her husband, who was suffering from a rare form of cancer. She will be one of only two women on Arizona's death row.
