High School Soccer Star Missing

Monday September 27, 2004
An outstanding 17-year-old high school soccer player from Scotia, New York has been missing since June 27, 2004. Craig Frear is the captain of the Scotia-Glennville High School soccer team and entering his senior year he was being recruited by several college programs.

Frear visited a friend in the Cambridge Manor apartment complex on June 27. Leaving his car parked in the complex lot, he was last seen at 2 p.m. walking on a nearby path toward the woods behind the complex.

Frear was last seen wearing blue jeans, a short sleeve white t-shirt and white Adidas sneakers with three black stripes. He may now have a goatee. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Scotia Police Department at (518)-384-2244.

Police first believed that Frear had left the area voluntarily. They still have no leads on his location.
